Arapahoe, Nebraska Wensel G. “Whitey” Einspahr age 89, of Arapahoe, Nebraska died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at the Bertrand Nursing Home at Bertrand, Nebraska after a week as a resident. He was born December 15, 1915 at Kenesaw, Nebraska to Bernard & Emma (Plamback) Einspahr. He was raised at Kenesaw, Nebraska. At the age of 9 the family moved to Colorado where he attended School. At the age of 16 the family moved back to Nebraska and settled in Lexington, Nebraska until he entered the US Navy in 1940. He married Martha Ruth Brown on July 6, 1944 at Beaver City, Nebraska. Following his discharge in 1947 they moved to Elkhorn, Nebraska where he worked for the Soil Conservation Service. He also farmed in Elkhorn, Nebraska for 10 years, worked at a lumber yard for 8 years and then became a machinest for Skinner Macaroni Company with is owned by Hershey Corp today. He retired at the age of 65. His wife Ruth died June 24, 1987. He married Hulda (Radtke) Einspahr on April 13, 1988 at Arapahoe, Nebraska. He resided in Arapahoe the remainder of his life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Arapahoe, Nebraska, American Legion Post #343 of Edison, Nebraska, Pearl Harbor Survivors Organization and VFW Post # 9357. Preceded in death by parents, first wife M. Ruth, 2 Brothers; Marcus & Harley, 5 Sisters; Delores, Mildred, Susetta, Laveda and Eleanor. Survivors include wife: Hulda of Arapahoe, Nebraska 2 Sons: Dr. David & wife Cynthia Einspahr of Topeka, Kansas Galen & wife Linda Einspahr of North Platte, Nebraska 1 Daughter: Marilyn & husband Tom White of Elkhorn, NE 1 Step-Daughter: Janet Aguilar of Denver, CO Grandchildren: 7 Great-Grandchildren 5 Viewing and visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2005 , 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home at Arapahoe, Nebraska & prior to services Saturday at the church. Condolences and personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastors Jeff Ernstmeyer and Harlan Meier, officiating. Burial with Military honors will be at Mt Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska in charge of services.
