Beaver City, Nebraska Wendell P. West, age 84, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Beaver City Manor in Beaver City, Nebraska. He was born September 25, 1923 at Stamford, Nebraska to Harold & Grace (Bain) West. He was raised in Stamford, Nebraska and graduated from Beaver City High School with class of 1941. Following graduation he started farming. He married Marjorie Sapp on Aug 28, 1944 at Norton, Kansas. They moved into Beaver City following marriage and continued to farm until he started to work for the ASCS office in Beaver City in the early 1960's where he moved up into management of it and retired in late 1980's. He was mayor of Beaver City for 4 terms. He was a member of First Christian Church of Beaver City, Nebraska. He moved into Beaver City Manor in April of 2007. Preceded in death by his Parents. Survivors include: Wife: Marjorie of Beaver City, Nebraska Daughter: Sharon Buffington & husband Ron of Olatha, Kansas Sister: Carol White of Oxford, Nebraska Grandchildren: 2 Great-Grandchildren: 5 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com No visitation or viewing as cremation was chosen.
