Arapahoe, Nebraska Warren H. Curry, age 85, of Hermitage, Tennessee, formerly of Lincoln & Holbrook, Nebraska died Sunday, July 22, 2007 in Hermitage, Tennessee from the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born on February 13, 1922 at Holbrook, Nebraska to Samuel F. & Mena C. (Phillipson) Curry. On October 29, 1943, he married Mary L. Ericson at Stromsburg, Nebraska. He served as the executive officer of the James E. Craig in the South Pacific during World War II, and returned to the University of Nebraska Lincoln where he obtained a law degree. He was a banker in Holbrook, Nebraska and active in service to his community and the South Platte region of Nebraska. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holbrook, Nebraska. He is preceded in death by his parents, & wife Mary L. Curry Survivors include Sons: Doug & wife Verna Curry of Lincoln, Nebraska Jim & wife Amy Curry of Black Hawk, Colorado Daughter: Barbara & husband Mike Streeter of Old Hickory, Tennessee Brother: Paul & wife Joan Curry of Abuquerque, New Mexico Sister: Carolyn & husband Russel Morgan of Kearney, Nebraska 8 Grandchildren: Doug Curry Jr. of Washington DC, Melissa & husband Fred Phelan of Wayne Pennsylvania, Chris Curry of Charleston, Illinois, Andy & wife Claire Curry of Omaha, Nebraska, Adam & wife Meisha Curry of Omaha, Nebraska, Chad Streeter of Old Hickory, Tennessee, Becky Streeter of Franklin, Tennessee, Corey & wife Kristin Streeter of Mount Juliet, Tennessee 5 Great-Grandchildren Condolences or personal reflections can be left at http://www.wenburgfuneralhome.com/. Memorial services will be Monday, July 30, at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Holbrook, Nebraska with Pastor Roger Burke & Pastor Dale Whitson, officiating. Private Family Inurnment will be at Holbrook Cemetery, at Holbrook, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church Holbrook, Nebraska, Alzheimer’s Association of the Great Plains, & the McKendree Foundation (Golden Cross Fund). Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
