Theresa Ann Townsend

Theresa Ann Townsend (Hines), aged 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 11, 2026, at home in Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born in Ellinwood, Kansas on April 28, 1953, to Leo Michael and Eleanor Catherine (Hoffman) Hines.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband Eugene Townsend of Beaver City, Nebraska; daughters, Brandy Marie Shepard and husband Antonio of Belleville, Illinois, Joann Elizabeth Markle and husband Jeremy of Bossier City, Louisiana; grandchildren Kristina and spouse Timothy, Athena, Isabella, Rebecca, Jordan and Madison; great grandchildren, Maeson and Timothy; sisters Joyce Schulte and husband Joe, Paula Biles, and Kathy Hines; the extended Townsend and Vairy families, along with multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Daniel Michael Hines.

Viewing and visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2026, at Garey Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska from 5 PM to 7 PM.  Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Garey Funeral Chapel, Arapahoe, Nebraska at 11 AM. Burial will follow the funeral at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, NE.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in memorial of Theresa Townsend can be sent to The Senior Center in Beaver City, Nebraska, or the Humane Society in McCook, Nebraska.
