Beaver City, Nebraska Thelma F. Simmons, age 99, eleven days short of 100, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Beaver City Manor at Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born August 26, 1907 at Kensington, Kansas to Harrison & Lena (Jensen) Cline. She grew up in Kensington, Kansas. She graduated from Almena, Kansas High School in 1925. She attended McClelland Business College in Topeka, Kansas following High School Graduation. She married Henry Simmons on April 6, 1926 at Oronque, Kansas. They farmed around Almena, Kansas for several years. The moved to Beaver City, Nebraska farming in Furnas County. The lived in Denver for awhile and moved to Kensington, Kansas in 1960 then to Franklin, Nebraska in 1961. Her husband Henry died June 24, 1978. She returned to Beaver City, Nebraska on July 15, 2000. She moved to Beaver City Manor in February of 2006. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Franklin, Nebraska. Also member of Mary Circle Club of the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, three brothers: Floyd, Harold & Raymond, two Sisters, one infancy and Flossie. Survivors include; Two Sons: Johnny Simmons & wife Florence of Mesa, AZ Phil Simmons & wife Susan of Kearney, NE Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; 21 Great-Great Grandchildren: 12 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com Visitation & viewing will be Saturday, August 18, & Sunday, August 19, 1 PM until 8 PM each day at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services . Funeral services will be Monday, August 20, 2007 at 10 AM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska with Grandson, Rev. Keith Simmons, officiating. Burial will follow at Norton Cemetery at Norton, Kansas. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
