Beaver City, Nebraska Ruth Augusta (Andrews) Hopping, age 92, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at her home in Reno, Nevada. She was born on August 7, 1912, in Cambridge, Nebraska to Donald "Dan" & Mary Alice (Clark) Andrews. After completing her schooling in Nebraska & graduating from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, she taught elementary school in Superior, Grand Island, & Cambridge, Nebraska. She moved on to teach in Monte Vista, Colorado, with her older sister, Mary. She married Charles Hopping in May of 1941, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Los Angeles, California. After Charles returned from his service duty, they lived in Alhambra, California, were he worked for Roberts Company. They traveled a great deal because of Charles work and often took the family with them. After retiring and moving to Reno, Nevada in 1962, they continued to travel often. She was active in their churches, St. Edmund's Episcopal Church, in San Marino, California and Trinity Episcopal Church in Reno, Nevada. She was also involved in P.E.O. Sisterhood in California and Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles in 1998, and all of her siblings. She is survived by Daughter: Catherine & husband Dave Wing of Granby, Massachusetts Son: Earl Hopping II of Petaluma, California Graveside memorial services will be Friday, June 8, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Deaver Cemetery, Stamford, Nebraska with Pastor George Probasco, officiating.
