Rouene M. Mayo

Rouene M. Mayo, age 84, of Arvada, Colorado formerly of Beaver City, Nebraska died Friday, October 19, 2012, at her home in Arvada, Colorado. She was born August 20, 1928 at Geneva, Nebraska to Fred and Nellie (Saltzman) Marble. Rouene grew up in Furnas County, Nebraska. She graduated from Beaver City High School with the class of 1946. She married Harold Mayo on June 12, 1947 at McCook, Nebraska. They lived in McCook for 11 years following the marriage. They moved to Arvada, Colorado in 1959 where she resided until her death. She was a certified ceramics teacher. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and scroll saw work, rocks and all crafty things. Her husband Harold died January 23, 2006. Survivors include: 2 Daughters; Rebecca & Charlotte Mayo both of Wheatridge, Colorado. Brother: Ronald Marble and wife Ila of Norton, Kansas Sisters: Delores White of Lexington, Nebraska Roberta and husband Richard Martin of Beaver City, Nebraska Vernita and husband Corky Bottger of Tekamah, Nebraska Memorial to donor choice such as historical places, museums and pets. Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012, 10 AM until 7 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City and prior to services on Wednesday. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Keith Theobald, officiating.
