Patricia A. Snyder

Patricia Arlene (Heiser) Snyder, age 94, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Beaver City Manor in Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born on December 13, 1930, in Lincoln, Nebraska to William and Amy (Neiderhouse) Heiser.

She graduated from Northeast High School in 1948 and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1951. She worked in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and San Diego, California, from 1952-1955.

Pat was united in marriage to Robert M. Snyder on January 21, 1956. To this union five sons were born, twins Bill and Bob, Mike, Matt, and Doug.

She returned to nursing part time in October, 1961 at the Oxford Hospital until 1963. From 1963 to 1972, she worked at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center and in 1964 she became full time Director of Nursing until 1972. From 1972 to 1981 she worked for ESU #11 as school nurse. During this time, she earned a BS degree in Psychology. She became Administrator of the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in 1981, having received her Administrator’s license in 1971. She retired from the rest home in 1986.

Pat served on the Arapahoe City Council from 1978 to 1982. She also was a member of Chapter CE PEO in Arapahoe.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, William and Amy; Her husband Robert; son Matthew; her sisters Barbara Butts and Jean Heiser; brothers-in-law Robert Butts, Richard Snyder, Robert Lawson, John Hanson, and Ned Johnston; sisters-in-law Doris Snyder, Mary Jane Lawson, Marion (Mick) Hanson, and Margaret Johnston.

She is survived by her sons, Bill (Jill) Snyder of Arapahoe, NE; Bob (Carla) Snyder of Yutan, NE; Mike (Shelley) Snyder of Kearney, NE; Doug (Chris) Snyder of Arapahoe, NE; 8 grandchildren, Stacy (Kirk) Wilson of McCook, NE; Caleb (Shelby) Snyder of Yutan, NE; Hannah (Einstein) Juma of Globe, AZ; Rick Snyder of Milan, MI; Sarah (Aaron) Essay of Kearney, NE; Brianna Snyder of Kearney, NE; Adam (Caitlin) Snyder of Arapahoe, NE; Grace (Luke) Samuelson of Aurora, NE; 11 Great-Grandchildren, Ella Wilson, Case, Hudson, Tate, and Merritt Snyder, Eli and Maggie Essay, Lila and Joelle Samuelson, Jack and Sam Snyder along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Caleb Snyder, Adam Snyder, Luke Samuelson, Aaron Essay, Kirk Wilson, and Einstein Juma.
