Arapahoe, Nebraska Norman D. Kinder, age 75, of Holbrook, Nebraska died Friday, February 25, 2005 at his home south of Holbrook, Nebraska. He was born on November 23, 1929 at Cambridge, Nebraska to Charles & Violet (Steuber) Kinder. He attended country school south of Holbrook, NE and then Cambridge High School where he graduated with the Class of 1947. After school he worked construction and farm jobs until enlisting in the Army in 1951. After completing his service duty he came back to Holbrook to farm. On April 14, 1957 he married Arliss Brown at the First United Methodist Church, in Arapahoe, NE. They made their home on the family farm south of Holbrook. He also worked for Henry Farms and Nebraska Pork Producers of Arapahoe, NE. He was a member of the Lion’s Club & VFW Post #9357 both of Holbrook, and the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, NE in which he served as a Trustee for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include wife: Arliss Kinder of Holbrook, NE Son: Duane Edward and wife Cathy Kinder of Broken Bow, NE 2 Daughters: Valerie Sue & husband Alex Difuntorum of Lincoln, NE Daralis Renee Williams of Lee Summit, Missouri Sister: Nancy & husband Vaughn Barnett of Cambridge, NE Grandchildren: 2 Great Grandchildren: 1 Viewing & visitation will be Monday, Febr. 28, from 9 AM till 8 PM at the Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, NE and prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 1:30 PM the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, NE with Rev. Hyeongdong Baek, officiating. Burial will be at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, NE. Military rites given by the V.F.W. Post #9357 of Holbrook, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
