Arapahoe, Nebraska Minna Emma Noltensmeier, age 96, of Arapahoe, Nebraska died on February 7, 2009 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born on August 13, 1912 to Henry & Mary (Grafe) Ziems in Bellingham, Washington. She was confirmed on May 13, 1928 at the Salem Lutheran Church, south of Elwood, Nebraska, in Gosper County. She attended school at Bertrand, Elwood, and Holbrook, Nebraska. She married Simon Carl Noltensmeier on February 1, 1934 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Cambridge, Nebraska. They made their home north of Arapahoe, Nebraska and farmed for many years. Her husband Simon would pass away on December 2, 1966. She would then move to Arapahoe, Nebraska in 1967. In 2003, she moved into the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska. She loved caring for her family and grandchildren. She took pride in sewing, gardening, selling eggs & cream. Puzzles & word search's were favorites up until the last few weeks. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Simon, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, 1 grand child, 3 nieces. She is survived by her sons: Richard Noltensmeier of North Platte, Nebraska Clarence & wife Ortha Noltensmeier of Kearney, Nebraska Wayne Noltensmeier of Arapahoe, Nebraska Daughters: Alice & husband Richard Dietz of Oxford, Nebraska Viola & husband Gary Cartee of Independence, Missouri Lorene Russell of Holdrege, Nebraska Brother: Dean Ziems of Loveland, Colorado Grandchildren: 21 Great-Grandchildren: 31
