Marjorie L. West

Marjorie L. West, age 87, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Phelps Memorial Hospital, Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born on August 28, 1926 at Norton, Kansas to Forest & Doris (Reed) Sapp. She attended high school in California and Wilsonville, Nebraska. After her schooling, she married Wendell West on August 28, 1944 at Norton, Kansas. They moved to Beaver City, Nebraska and farmed till the early 1960’s. She worked at the ASCS office and the Furnas County Welfare office, both in Beaver City. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Beaver City and later attended the Faith Community Church of Beaver City. She enjoyed being with her family, traveling, and working in her garden. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wendell, grandson Tory Dean Buffington, sister Marie Yeager, and brother Lloyd Sapp. She is survived by her daughter: Sharon and husband Ron Buffington of Olathe, Kansas Sister: Beth Beins-Fry of Holdrege, Nebraska Brother: Butch Sapp of Wasilla, Alaska Granddaughter: Tara West Teague of San Antonio, Texas 5 Great Grandchildren: Joel & Garrett Buffington; Riley, Evan, and Ty Teague She also had 5 nieces and 6 nephews.
