Magde Merna Hill

Arapahoe, Nebraska Magde Merna Hill, age 93, of McCook, Nebraska, formerly of Arapahoe, Nebraska died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home, in McCook, Nebraska. She was born on December 1, 1913 at Edison, Nebraska to Clyde & Lillian (Bishop) Fleharty. She attended school at Oxford High School at Oxford, Nebraska and graduated with the class of 1932. She taught school from 1934 until 1936 at Snowball Country School northwest of Arapahoe. On March 14, 1936 she married Lee K. Hill at Ceresco, Nebraska. They moved to Wisconsin and farmed, then returned to Nebraska and farmed in the Edison and Arapahoe area until retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee K. Hill in 1999. Survivors include: Daughter: Donna & husband Ronald Brewster of McCook, Nebraska Brothers: Ken & wife Cheryl Hill, of Grand Island, Nebraska 3 Sisters: Ilda Dodson of McCook, Nebraska Esther Farrington, Little Silver, New Jersey Gladys & husband Ray Aldrich of McCook, Nebraska Grandchildren: 4 Great- Grandchildren: 2 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com. Viewing & visitation will be Thursday, December 28, from 9AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Friday, December 29, at 2 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Flury, officiating. Interment will be at Arapahoe Cemetery, at Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
