Lynn N. Youngquist, age 69, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Univ. of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, following a brief illness.  He was born December 7, 1941 at Oxford, Nebraska to Joseph & Lela (Christian) Youngquist.

He grew up in Beaver City.  Attended Beaver City Schools till 1955 when family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska.  He graduated from University High School in Lincoln, Nebraska with the Class of 1960. He attended Univ of Nebraska & Kearney State College following high school graduation.  He married Sharon Huston on November 4, 1967 at Lexington, Nebraska.  They moved to Beaver City following marriage to the Youngquist home place North of Beaver City, Nebraska.  He served 6 years in the National Guard but wasn't activated.  He farmed all of his life in Furnas County, Nebraska.  He sold Life Insurance for a number of years.  He also was a salesman of farm seeds, being District Manager for Hoegemeyer Seeds at the time of his death.  He continued to help his Son  farm also until his death.  Lynn also was a pioneer in eco-fellow farming.

Lynn was a member of First United Methodist Church at Beaver City, Nebraska, and had served on the Church board.  He was a past member of Masonic Lodge, Furnas Co Fair Board and was Nebraska District Fair Manager at one time. He had served on Nebraska and the National Grain Sorghum Growers Association. He had also served on Beaver City School Board and was an avid sports fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include he wife Sharon of Beaver City, Nebraska

                             Son;  Eric Youngquist and wife Teresa of Beaver City, Nebraska

                         Daughter;  Julie and husband Michael Jorgensen of Kearney, Nebraska

                         Brother:  Jon and wife Mary Youngquist of Beaver City, Nebraska

                        Grandchildren:  6, Triniti, Blaine, Matthew, Mark, Megan and Mitchell

Visitation and viewing will be Friday, March 4, 2011, 1 PM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to serves Saturday at the church.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1:30 PM at First United Methodist Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Flury, officiating.  Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska.
