Kristen Alanna Johnson-McKibben

Kristen Alanna Johnson-McKibben, age 41, of Oxford, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Arbor Center in Franklin, Nebraska.  She was born on January 16, 1982, to R. Alan and Connie T. Johnson, in Granbury, Texas. 

She grew up in Texas, she enjoyed country life, riding horses, and going to the lake. She stood up for the underdog in school.

She attended school at Riesel, Texas and then briefly, Whitney, Texas. She played softball in elementary and Junior High.  She married Michael in 1998. Her children and granddaughter were the light of her life.

She is survived by her 4 children; Tyesha Johnson, Shane McKibben, Nathen McKibben, Xander L.A. Johnson; granddaughter Selena Hillen; 2 brothers Robert Shafer, David Shafer, and her mother Connie Johnson.

She is preceded by her husband Michael McKibben, father Alan Johnson and brother James David Johnson and her grandparents.

She was diagnosed at age 17 with Multiple Sclerosis, which she overcame several challenges. In 2020 her MS became progressive. Her favorite saying was “This is not goodbye, just see you later.”
