Kimberly Sue (Loughry/Courtain) Linner, age 59, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Phelps Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born December 8, 1959 to Darwin and Ila (Hoover) Loughry and later adopted by Gilbert Courtain. She grew up and graduated from Norton Community High School with the Class of 1977. Kim married Roger Linner on December 31, 1995 in Almena, Kansas. To this union Kim brought son JJ and Roger brought son Tyler and daughter Dani. Along the way they fostered many children and adopted Turner, HalLee, Thunder and Ehme to complete the home. After a brief career at the Norton State Hospital, Kim spent her life caring for children and they became her “family” and they affectionately named her ‘Mama Kim’. She is survived by her husband, Roger Linner of Beaver City, Nebraska, sons Tyler (Becka) Linner of Beaver City, Nebraska and Turner Linner of Goodland, Kansas, daughters Danielle Linner of Kearney, Nebraska, HalLee Linner, Hays, Kansas, and Ehme Linner of Beaver City; grandchildren: Jesse and Macie Courtain, Tyson, Tucker and Brylee Linner, and Dekclyn Linner; mother, Ila Marble, Norton Kansas, sisters Patricia (James) Kauten and Cynthia (Randall) Linner of Norton, Kansas. Brothers Jim (Shellie) Loughry of Willington, Nevada and John Loughry. Uncles: Philip (Gerry) Loughry, Dean Hoover, H.O (Sonja) Hoover, and Ron (Barbara) Hoover; Aunts: Joyce (Doyle) Brooks and Jean Zachow and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters–in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her fathers, sons Jeremey James “JJ” Courtain and Thunder Linner; brother Gilbert Courtain II, nieces Kayla and Kandis Kauten. Grandparents Frank (Lucile) Hoover; Yvonne Courtain, Alvah (Ivelyn) Loughry and great grandparents Art (Florence) Loughry and Uncle Alan Loughry. Services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Norton Christian Church with Pastors Rob Mohr and Chance McKinney, officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Kim Linner Memorial Fund to be designated later.
