Wilsonville, Nebraska Kelvin Roger Skiles, age 75, of Casper, Wyoming, formerly of Wilsonville, Nebraska died February 17, 2012 in Yuma, Arizona. He was born Oct 3, 1936 to Lewis and Merle (Hahn) Skiles in Wilsonville, Nebraska. Kelvin graduated from Wilsonville High School in 1954, then attended Nebraska State Teachers College in Kearney, Nebraska. He went to work for West Coast Airline in Washington state where he met Rae Brown, They were married in 1958 and had three children. He started a career with the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) in 1961 and relocated to Worland, Wyoming, in 1962. He was a member of BPOE Elk Lodge #1907. He served as the Exalted Ruler from 1971 to 1972 and was Chairman of the State Scholarship fund of the Elks from 1970 until 1976. After their divorce, Kelvin moved to Casper, where he worked for the FAA until his retirement in 1996. He spent winters with his Wyoming friends in Yuma, Arizona and the summer in Casper. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, sisters and friends. Golf and fishing were his favorite activities. Survivors include two son; Roger & wife Tina Skiles of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Larry & wife Laura Skiles of Casper, Wyoming and daughter Christine and husband Robert Severns of Aztec, New Mexico. Also two sisters: Judy & husband Delbert Beins of Beaver City, Nebraska and Donna and husband Bruce Anthony of Hayward, California. A celebration of Kelvin's life took place on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 with his Yuma friends. Graveside inurnment services will be Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10 AM at Wilsonville Cemetery at Wilsonville, Nebraska with Pastor George Probasco, officiating. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
