Arapahoe, Nebraska Katherine “Katie” Annette Knight, age 42, of McCook, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 26, 1971 at Stratton, Nebraska to Roger & Barbara (Shaffer) Felt. She attended school at Arapahoe High School at Arapahoe, Nebraska with the Class of 1989. She later married Marlin Schriner of Holdrege, Nebraska in 1989. To this union a daughter Lynette Kay was born in 1990. In 1997 she married James Parker of Rossville, Georgia. To this union a daughter Marissa LeAnn was born. In September of 2000, she married Tony Knight of London, England and lived there for 2 years before returning to the United States. Later she moved to Lafayette, Louisiana and worked as a Hot Shot Driver for an off shore drilling company. In December of 2007 she moved to McCook, Nebraska and began working for S.W.A.T.S. Katie loved her family, especially her little “Peanut” grandson Jamie Calvin Elliott. She enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburg Steelers, playing cards, games, and especially music-it touched her soul. She had a strong faith in the Lord. We all enjoyed her wonderful sense of humor. She was a delight to all around her. She enjoyed her job and the folks she cared for. She will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her father, aunt Susan Shaffer She is survived by her mother Barbara Felt of Arapahoe, Nebraska Brother: James Felt & Cyndi Schroeder of McCook, Nebraska 2 Daughters: Lynette VanWinkle & husband Brice of Neosho, Missouri Marissa Elliott and husband Matt of Seneca, Missouri Grandson: Jamie Calvin Elliott Aunt: Linda Hunkins & husband Don of McCook, Nebraska Uncles: Ron Shaffer & wife Karen of Grand Junction, Colorado Ed Felt & wife Janet of Stratton, Nebraska Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10 AM at the Arapahoe Christian Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor David Welch, officiating. A private family inurnment will be at a later date. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
