Gerald Dean Utterback Sr.

Arapahoe, Nebraska Gerald Dean Utterback Sr., age 59, of Arapahoe, Nebraska died Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on November 12, 1944 at Arapahoe, Nebraska to J. Thomas & Gladys (Reitz) Utterback. He grew up on a farm south of Arapahoe and attended rural school until 8th grade and then went on to Arapahoe High School and graduated with the Class of 1963. After school he farmed with his family. He married Teri Hanna and later divorced. On December 9, 1978, he married Joyce E. McNally in Arapahoe, NE. He worked for many years with road construction crews. In 1980 he started working for Paulsen Inc. as a heavy equipment operator which would last for over 20 years, until he retired because of health problems. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daughter Teri Utterback, Infant brother Wayne, & Sister Darleen Utterback. Survivors include wife: Joyce Utterback of Arapahoe, NE Sons: Gerald D. Jr. & wife Tina Uttterback of Trenton, NE Terry & wife Kim McNally of Eustis, NE Randy & wife Linda McNally of David City, NE Daughters: Brenda & husband Mike Paulsen of Colorado Springs, CO Jennie & husband Mike Carey of Colorado Springs, CO Tina & husband Mike Hanson of Texarkana, TX Rhonda & husband Sean Small of Omaha, NE Brothers: Paul Utterback of Arapahoe, NE James & wife Marty Utterback of Arapahoe, NE Sisters: Roberta & husband Glen Hinton of Arapahoe, NE Sara Mae & husband Charles Walker of McCook, NE Erma Lee & husband Lloyd Pfeiffer, of Arapahoe, NE Grandchildren: 19 Great-Grandchildren: 2 Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, NE with Terry McCorkle, officiating. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 20, from 1 PM until 8 PM & Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 9 AM until 8 PM at the Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, NE. Burial will be at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, NE. Memorials are suggested for the Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, NE. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
