Frances L. ten Bensel

Arapahoe, Nebraska Frances L. ten Bensel, age 94, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Cambridge Hospital, in Cambridge, Nebraska. She was born April 23, 1912 to Frank & Ismay (Adams) Heinen in Foxholm, North Dakota. She grew up and attended school at Foxholm, North Dakota. She married Theodore W. ten Bensel on August 29, 1928 at Minot, North Dakota. They made their home on a farm east of Arapahoe, Nebraska. They farmed there for 34 years before retiring and moving into Arapahoe, Nebraska. Her husband passed away on February 3, 1972. She began to work as a Nurses Aid at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center Nursing Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska until 1993. In October in 1995 she moved to Prairie Pines Retirement Home and in 2004 she moved to Good Samaritan Center Assisted Living. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska since 1928, and the United Methodist Women, Women’s Extension Country Club, and Rebekah Lodge, all of Arapahoe, Nebraska. She is preceded in death by her parent’s, husband Theodore, and infant daughter Thelma Frances ten Bensel. She is survived by 2 sons: Larry & wife Carolyn ten Bensel of Arapahoe, Nebraska Dean & wife Wanda ten Bensel of Arapahoe, Nebraska 2 Daughters: Ilene Collins, of Arapahoe, Nebraska Virginia Cookson & husband Vance Wroot of Arapahoe, Nebraska Sister: Eunice Lauhead of Aurora, Nebraska Grandchildren: 12 Great-Grandchildren: 24 Great-Great Grandchildren: 4 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com. Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, June 18, from 2 PM till 8 PM and Monday June 19, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 20, at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, NE with Rev. Michael Flury, officiating. Burial will be at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, NE.
