Beaver City, Nebraska Eugene Clason, age 80, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Sunday at his home southeast of Beaver City, Nebraska. He was born January 22, 1930 at Beaver City, Nebraska to Francis & Hazel (Thomas) Clason. Eugene was a life long resident of Furnas County, Nebraska. He attended Beaver City High School. He married Ruth E. Wasenius on June 1, 1949 at Beaver City, Nebraska. He farmed all of his life southeast of Beaver City in the Precept area. He got his pilot training at an early age, licensed at age 18. He and his wife built the Dairy Queen in Beaver City in 1968 and operated it until 1976 at which time they sold it. He started Clason Trucking Company in 1970 and operated it until the late ninety's. He also bought the Sale Barn in Phillipsburg, Kansas in the mid 80's and sold it in the late 90's. He was very active in the Clason farming operation up till time of his death. He was a Life member of The Assembly of God Church at Beaver City, Nebraska, lately attending the Evangelical Free Church in Oxford, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: His wife Ruth of Beaver City, Nebraska Step-Mother: Emma Clason of York, Nebraska Sons: Steven Clason and wife Rachelle of Beaver City, Nebraska Jim Clason of Hastings, Nebraska Lee Clason of Minden, Nebraska Daughters: Ruth Gove of Kearney, Nebraska Patty and husband Ross Wolstenholm of York, Nebraska Laura & husband Irvin Nelson of Kearney, Nebraska Bonnie & husband Michael Wright of Stamford, Nebraska Susan Bayliss of Omaha, Nebraska Brother: Merle Dean Clason and wife Juanita of Beaver City, Nebraska Step-Brothers: Kenneth Dean Lambert & wife Marjory of Beaver City, Nebraska LeRoy Lambert & wife Marjorie of Miller, Nebraska Grandchildren: 30 Great 28 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 10 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services Wednesday at the Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 2:30 PM at The Evangelical Free Church in Oxford, Nebraska with Pastor Wes Holen, officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Creek Cemetery ,rural Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
