Beaver City, Nebraska. Emma Ethale Clason, age 89, of York, Nebraska formerly of California died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at York General Hearthstone. She was born December 5, 1921 at Fairmont, Nebraska to Jesse & Emma (Stephenson) Schroder. Emma grew up in Fairmont, Nebraska and graduated from Fairmont High School. She married Francis Clason during WWII. They lived for over 50 years at San Luis Obispo, California. Francis died in 1999. She worked at a hospital in housekeeping department for a number of years in California. She enjoyed cooking, family visits , and fishing and big game hunting with her husband. She moved to York, Nebraska in 2006. She was preceded in death by parents, husband Francis, step-son, Eugene Clason on May 16, 2010, brother John and sister Esther Aspinall. Survivors include: Step-Son; Merle Dean Clason and wife Juanita of Beaver City, Nebraska Step-Daughter-in-Law; Ruth Clason of Beaver City, Nebraska Sister: Jessie Ericson and husband Donald of Grand Rapids,Minnestoa Step-Grandchildren: 14 Step-Great-Grandchildren; 39; Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren: 33 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com. Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, from 1 PM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City and Thursday 10 AM until noon at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Hendley Cemetery at Hendley, Nebraska with Rev Brian McGee, officiating. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
