Ellen Mae Wagner

Arapahoe, Nebraska Ellen Mae Wagner, age 92, of Arapahoe, Nebraska died on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born on November 3, 1918 near Arapahoe, Nebraska to Clyde L. & Mabel H. (Keeler) Larson. She was baptized on February 9, 1919 and confirmed on May 22, 1932 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She went to school at Arapahoe High School and graduated with the Class of 1936. She went on to Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska for one year. She then returned to Arapahoe and taught in country schools. She married Jack Dwight Wagner on April 27, 1941 at the Trinity Lutheran Parsonage in Arapahoe, Nebraska. While Jack served in the military during World War II, she would work in the commodities ration office in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She and her husband founded Wagner's Supermarket in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Missionary League of Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was an accomplished pianist, organist, seamstress, artist, & quilter. She is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Shelli Haarberg-Wendland, brothers James & Charles Larson, & sister Faye Kahle. She is survived by her husband Jack D. Wagner of Arapahoe, Nebraska Daughters: Naomi Ruth Haarberg and husband Lorris of Arapahoe, Nebraska Sandra Jean Morse and husband Larry of Sarasota, Florida Sue Ellen Wagner-Bidwell & husband Bruce of Percival, Iowa Grandchildren: 5 Great Grandchildren: 10 Grandson-In-Law: Dave Wendland Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Burial will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. Memorial can be given in her name. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
