Kearney, Nebraska Elaine May Warner, age 82, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital, in Kearney, Nebraska. She was born on October 14, 1931 at Holdrege, Nebraska to Lester & Irma (McCoy) Gregg. She grew up at Gosper, Nebraska in Gosper County. She attended school at a country school in Gosper County and then graduated from Arapahoe High School with the class of 1949. She married Ivan Duane Warner on January 1, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska. Their home was blessed with three children: Douglas Lee, Melodie Renee, & Dale Duane. They farmed and ranched south of Edison, Nebraska. In 1992 they would retire from farming and move to Arapahoe. Elaine helped start the Progressive 4-H Club of Edison and was a leader for many years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, LWML, and worked at the Mission Mall in Arapahoe. She enjoyed her book club and taking classes with the Senior College at the Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane, sister Beverly Reiss, Brother-In-Law Leland Reiss and Robert Thayn, niece Connie Thayn, mother and father-in-law George & Violet Warner. She is survived by sons Douglas Warner of Kearney, Nebraska Dale Warner of Kearney, Nebraska Daughters: Melodie Stewart & husband Ronnie Jr. of Loomis Brother: Darrell Gregg & wife Ruth of Bertrand, Nebraska Brother-In-Law: Wesley Warner & wife Janet of Edison, Nebraska Sisters-In-Law: Cleetis Thayn of Arapahoe, Nebraska Jackie Reiss of Wilcox, Nebraska 2 Grandchildren: Josh & Breanne Warner Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 10 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Friday, October 18, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Interment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, at Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the services.
