Edith Marie Biesecker, age 89, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the CA Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born in Beaver City, Nebraska on April 8, 1925 to W.E. & Ethel (Harmon) Shellenbarger. She enjoyed golfing, ceramics, and knitting. She was very active and everyone loved to be around her. She married Wayne Biesecker on June 26, 1948. They were married for 53 years; to that union, they raised three children. Theda Biesecker, Phillip Minard, & Gloria Biesecker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, and daughter Theda. She is survived by her son Phillip (Cathy Albrecht) Minard of North Platte, Nebraska Daughter: Gloria Biesecker of Indiana Daughter-In-Law Loretta Burns of McCook, Nebraska 5 Grandchildren: Rusty (Penny) Minard of Indianola, Nebraska, Shelly (Rick) Sundell of Benkleman, Nebraska, David (Lena) Minard of Indianola, Nebraska, Eric (Tammy) Biesecker of Axtell, Nebraska and Noni (Lee) Dorel of Greenville, Indiana. 12 Great Grandchildren & 2 Great-Great Grandchildren Special Nieces and Nephews: Nancy (Richard) Miller of Kimball, Nebraska, Frank (Kathy) Forsyth of Dix, Nebraska, and Bill Robb of Elwood, Nebraska. Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2015, from 1 PM until 8 PM at the Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Monday, March 23, 2015, at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor Becky Saddler, officiating. Interment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, at Arapahoe, Nebraska. Memorials may be given in her name or to the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe is in charge of the arrangements.
