Beaver City, Nebraska. Douglas R. Kohn, age 75, of Beaver City, Nebraska, died Tuesday at McCook, Nebraska. He was born February 19, 1936 at Holdrege, Nebraska to Oris & Louise (Clawson) Kohn. Doug graduated from Beaver City High School with the Class of 1953. He served in the Air Force as a policeman from 1958 until 1961. Following discharge he returned back to Beaver City where he was an "over-the-road" truck driver. He was a member of First Christian Church & VFW in Beaver City and also belonged to the Disabled Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents & Uncle Byron. Survivors include Sister: Rose Marie & husband Duaine Garrison of Norton, Kansas One nephew and 3 nieces, 8 Great nephews & Nieces and also 5 Great-Great Nieces & Nephews. Memorial established in his memory and can be left at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City with Pastor John Sievering, of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska. Doug requested no military honors and the family is honoring his request.
