Arapahoe, Nebraska Dixie Lee Rask, age 68, of Edison, Nebraska passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital, in Kearney, Nebraska. She was born on October 11, 1939 in Gosper County, Nebraska to Dale H. & Wilda Mae ( Rhodes) Phillips. She grew up north of Arapahoe, Nebraska in Gosper County, Nebraska. She attended school at Arapahoe High School and graduated with the class of 1957. She would then attend Kearney State Teachers College in Kearney, Nebraska before moving on to Lincoln, Nebraska and work at various jobs. On August 25, 1962 she married Thomas R. Rask in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her husband Tom was in the U.S. Navy, so from 1964 to 1980 they moved to various cities in the Western United States before returning to Lincoln, Nebraska. She would work for R.R. Donnelly Co. from 1980 until retiring in 1996. They would move to Edison, Nebraska in 1996. She was active with the Edison Christian Church, in Edison, Nebraska and a member of the American Legion Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her parents, & sister Beverly Ann Waline. She is survived by husband Thomas R. Rask of Edison, Nebraska Son: Todd Rask of Lincoln, Nebraska Daughter: Brenda D. & husband Michael Avery of Blue Rapids, Kansas Grandchildren: 5 Great-Grandchildren: 1 Condolences and personal reflections may be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing & visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 1 PM till 8 PM and Thursday, Sept. 25, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, at Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Friday, September 26, at 1:30 PM at Edison Christian Church, in Edison, Nebraska with Kirk Einspahr, officiating. Burial will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
