David Don Mues

Arapahoe, Nebraska David Don Mues, age 53, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, died Monday, January 1, 2007 at the Bryan LGH Medical Center East, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born on March 8, 1953 at McCook, Nebraska to Donald E. & Maxine A. (Van Matre) Mues. He was raised on a farm near Edison, Nebraska and graduated from Arapahoe Public Schools. After high school, he went one year to Kearney State College majoring in Music. He would return to Arapahoe, Nebraska to help his father farm. He farmed for 30 years with his father. He married Roberta Lavalleur. They had twin girls, Janelle & Michelle. They would later divorce. On December 20, 1980, he married Shari Gengenbach at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eustis, Nebraska. They made their home at Arapahoe, Nebraska. They had two children, Phillip and Heidi. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Mues. He is survived by his wife: Shari Mues of Arapahoe, Nebraska Mother: Maxine A. Mues of Arapahoe, Nebraska Son: Phillip Mues of Arapahoe, Nebraska Daughters: Heidi Mues of Arapahoe, Nebraska Janelle & husband Paul McKinney of Grand Island, Nebraska Michelle & husband Tony Carroll of Central City, Nebraska Sister: Karen & husband Norman Lewis of Edison, Nebraska Grandchildren: 7 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com. Viewing & visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 4, at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. Jami Anderson, officiating. Interment will be at Arapahoe Cemetery, at Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
