Cooper L. Wendland, 21, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was born on March 7, 2005, at Holdrege, Nebraska. He was the beloved son of Jamie and April Wendland.
Cooper was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church, Arapahoe, Nebraska. He was a member of Arapahoe Baby Beef 4-H Club for many years. Coop was a proud Warrior of Arapahoe Public Schools.
Cooper had a bright smile, infectious laugh, kind heart, and adventurous spirit touching everyone he met. Cooper never met a stranger. Coop loved hunting, the outdoors, high school athletics and spending time with his many close friends and family. Cooper had the heart of a true cowboy and enjoyed tending to the herd at Anderson's feedlot. You could always count on him for a great time and for being there anytime you needed him. Coop was the life of the party. “Work hard, play hard” was his motto to the end.
He is survived by his parents, siblings Taylor Jones and Brooke Wendland, grandparents Alvin Linner, Doug and Sherri Bergman, Darius and Beth Wendland and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
