Clarence W.H. Niemeier

Arapahoe, Nebraska Clarence W.H. Niemeier, age 88, of Cambridge, Nebraska, formerly of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Cambridge Manor, Cambridge, Nebraska. He was born on August 7, 1921 near Holbrook, Nebraska to Ernest & Minnie (Mues) Niemeier. He lived his childhood on the farm with his parents and brothers and sisters. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, where he also attended school through 8th grade. He married Norma Lee Strong on March 4, 1954. During his lifetime, he loved his job with Bushman Construction Company that took him through Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota and Iowa . He would move back to Holbrook in 1975, where he worked for the Farmer’s Coop pumping gas and hauling fuel for many years before retiring. After retiring, you could find him in his “red barn” with the wood stove burning just pondering about the next project he would create out of his “junk” wood he’d stashed away because he may need it some day. He had a special talent for taking nothing and making it in to something. He loved to have friends and family visit and always had a cold beer for his guest and a joke or a story to share . One of his favorite memories to share was his adventure to Colorado when he was a young man, with his sister Melinda and his cousins Robert and Dorothy. He loved to tell us how he pulled the old T model out of the back grove, fixed it all up and headed to Colorado on an adventure. This was only one of the many stories. His earthly journey has finished, but God has called him home. No doubt he will be assisting in the building of our heavenly mansion that is awaiting all believers. We picture God's smiling face and hear Him saying, “Welcome home, my child, your mission on earth is complete – your pain and suffering is over.” Waiting anxiously to greet him are those who preceded him in death, including his wife, Norma, his parents, 3 sisters Malinda Niemeier, Sophia Mock & Louise Lemmon, 2 brothers Walter & Herman Niemeier. He is survived by her Son: Gerald, his wife Bonnie Niemeier of Omaha, Nebraska Grandchildren: Danielle & husband Jason Kirchhevel of Omaha, Nebraska Jason Niemeier and Valerie Niemeier of Omaha, Nebraska Great-grandchildren: Abram and Olivia Kirchhevel of Omaha, NE.
