Charlotte Ida Jeffres

Arapahoe, Nebraska Charlotte Ida Jeffres, age 74, of Upland, Nebraska died on March 19, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital, in Kearney, Nebraska. She was born on May 26, 1936 at Holbrook, Nebraska to Walter & Henrietta (Wendland) Warner. She was baptized on June 14, 1936 and confirmed on May 7, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She attended Holbrook High School and graduated with the Class of 1954. She married Eldon Linner on January 15, 1956 and lived in Norfolk, Virginia for a few months before moving back to the farm south of Holbrook, Nebraska. They ran the tavern in Holbrook for a few years and then later the Arapahoe Country Club. They would later divorce. She would marry Donald J. Jeffres on April 22, 1978 at Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in the Gibbon, Nebraska area in 1980. She ran the Lakeview Café in Gibbon for a number of years. She owned and operated the Roses for You flower shop in Kearney, Nebraska. They would move to Upland, Nebraska in the fall of 2010. She enjoyed being a 4-H leader and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cambridge, Nebraska and later transferred to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lowell, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Rollin Warner. She is survived by her husband Donald Jeffres of Upland, Nebraska Daughters: Chris & husband Jack Rubenthaler of Kearney, Nebraska Barb Linner of Kearney, Nebraska Sons: Jeff & wife Tammy Linner of Upland, Nebraska Dave Jeffres of Upland, Nebraska Dan & wife Alice Jeffres of Lawson, Missouri Craig Linner of Wimberly, Texas Scott Linner of Upland, Nebraska Grandchildren: 8 Great Grandchildren: 15 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, from 1 PM till 8 PM with family present from 5 PM till 7 PM at the Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 24, at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. James Moshier, officiating. Burial will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, at Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
