Bryce Warren Evans, 52, of McCook, Nebraska, passed away on November 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Hastings on July 9, 1973 and raised in Nebraska, Bryce grew up with a deep appreciation for the land, the outdoors, and the people who filled his life with meaning. To know Bryce was to know someone who never met a stranger, who never hesitated to lend a hand, and who believed life was meant to be lived with dirt on your boots, sun on your face, and laughter hanging in the air.

Bryce graduated from Blue Hill, Nebraska, in 1992 and spent his life following his passions with a smile on his face and a laugh that was contagious. He was a lifelong fan of the Nebraska Huskers and loved watching both football and volleyball games. He loves all things outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, tending his garden, caring for his bees, or proudly managing his worm farm, Bryce approached every task with curiosity and a sense of fun. He loved sharing what he learned with anyone willing to listen, turning ordinary moments into adventures and bringing family and friends together.

Bryce built his career in agriculture and farming—because there was no place he’d rather be than outside, working the land he loved. He enjoyed working as a young teen for Ken Auten of Blue Hill who taught him the values of hard work. Trico then brought him to Southwest Nebraska, where he quickly became part of the community. He went on to work with Nebraska Pork Partners and then later joined Union Pacific Railroad, where he tackled new challenges and gained valuable experiences. Ready to return to the ag- life he enjoyed most, Bryce left Union Pacific and found his way back to the farming world through a third-party spraying company. His time there eventually led him to Norder Supply, where he was employed at the time of his passing. Bryce brought his humor, energy, and love of life to every job he held, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he worked with along the way.

Bryce also served a short time in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger.

Bryce is survived by his wife, Amy (Roberts) Evans to whom he was married to for 25 years, his daughters Mikaela Christensen (Chad), and Brooke Evans; and his son, Colby Evans; one grandson Brooks Christensen, and one granddaughter Berlyn Christensen. He is also survived by his parents, Warren and Patricia Evans; his siblings Renae (Kurt) Griess, Mark (Ashley) Evans, and Shayne (Catie Sanders) Evans; as well as his parents-in-law, Earl and Cindy Roberts; his sister-in-law’s & brother-in-law’s Christy (Travis) Lindsay, Dennis (Rachiell) Roberts, and Michael Roberts, and the many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Bryce for his playful teasing, his endless stories, and his willingness to stop whatever he was doing just to make them feel special.

Bryce was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Ruby Dee Evans, and Marlin and Louan Meyer, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

A man like Bryce doesn’t leave quietly—he leaves a trail of stories, love, and moments woven into the lives of everyone he touched. Though he will be missed in more ways than words can say, he left behind enough memories, jokes, and tall tales to keep everyone laughing for years to come.
