Betty June Leach, age 89, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska. She was born on February 21, 1926 at Beaver City, Nebraska to Clarence H. & Lila Belle (Brouhard) Martin. Betty grew up in Beaver City, Nebraska. She married Ward Barlow in 1942 and they had one daughter: Myrna. Ward passed away in February of 1945 during World War II. She married Clyde Conner Leach on October 2, 1945 at Norton, Kansas and to this union 4 children were born; Linda, Jerry, Garey, and Robert. They lived for a short time on a dairy farm near Phoenix, Arizona, then moved to a farm southeast of Beaver City. They would retire in the early 1980’s and moved in to Beaver City, Nebraska. On September 30, 2001, soon after she would move to the Beaver City Manor, her husband Conner passed away. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Beaver City. Betty enjoyed canning produce, growing house plants, sewing dresses for the girls, and quilting. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Conner, brother James Martin, sister Mary Ann Knight, and son Jerry Leach. She is survived by Daughters: Myrna & husband Raymond Peterson of Tucson, Arizona Linda & husband Marvin Odell of Holdrege, Nebraska Sons: Garey Leach of Bullhead City, Arizona Robert Leach of Beaver City, Nebraska Daughter-In-Law: Barbara (Streeter) Leach of Oxford, Nebraska Brother: Eugene & wife Ann Pospicil of Huntsville, Alabama Grandchildren: 14 Great Grandchildren: 22 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015 from 1 PM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 4 PM at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Lawrence Francis, officiating. Interment will be at the Union Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
