Barbara R. Matheson

Arapahoe, Nebraska Barbara R. Matheson, age 66, formerly of Arapahoe, Nebraska died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Beaver City Manor, Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born on December 8, 1938 at Des Moines, Iowa to Sibert & Rose (Howard) Shoop. She attended school at Clear Lake and Klemme, Iowa. After school she married Rudy J. Nutz. They farmed in various areas in Iowa & Minnesota for a number of years. They divorced in 1974, and she moved to Denver, Colorado. She married Clarence Matheson in July of 1977 in Denver, CO. There she would work as office manager for Good Shepard Pick-up Service. They separated in 1994, and she moved to Arapahoe, Nebraska. She lived in this area until her health forced her into the Beaver City Assisted Living and Manor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Tommy Shoop, Grandchildren Alicia & Andrew Nutz, & Katrina Gardner Survivors include 3 sons: Tom Nutz of Denver, Colorado Tim & wife Jean Nutz of Chattanooga, Tennessee Ted & wife Deborah Nutz of Beaufort, South Carolina 2 Daughters: Christina & husband Terry Donovan, of Omaha, NE Penny & husband Danny Gardner of Arapahoe, NE Brother: Doug & wife Della Shoop of Paulden, Arizona Sister: Blanche & husband Elmer Reicherts of Swandale, IA Grandchildren: 13 Great-Granddaughter: 1 Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, from 1 PM until 8 PM, and Friday, April 8, from 9 AM till 8 PM at the Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, NE & prior to the services Saturday at the Church. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 10:30 AM at the Christian Church of Christ of Arapahoe, NE with Rev. Don Sailer, officiating. Burial will be at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, NE.
