B. June Roepke, age 87, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, Kearney, Nebraska. She was born on June 12, 1921 on the family farm south of Arapahoe, Nebraska to William H. & Hazel (Elston) McCoy. She attended Arapahoe High School and graduated with the Class of 1938. She married Lyle O. Roepke on August 5, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. While her husband served in the military, she would work various manufacturing jobs. After his military service, they moved to Holbrook, Nebraska in 1948 and owned and managed a resturant. They would then move to Mesa, Arizona. While her husband worked as a Fireman, she worked for Bermilla's Dress shop & Burrow's Insurance. In June of 1983, they moved to Arapahoe, Nebraska and operated the Arapahoe Motel, before retiring in 1987 and moving to Johnson Lake, Nebraska. In 1992, they moved to Kearney, Nebraska. Her husband Lyle passed away on April 7, 2006. In 2007, because of health reasons she moved in with her daughter. In November of 2008 she would then enter Mt. Carmel Home. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, of Kearney, Nebraska, & the Mesa, Arizona Fireman's Auxillary. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lyle, Brother H. Wayne McCoy, Sister Arva Holloway, Brother-In-Law Kenneth Holloway, & Sister-In-Law Fritz McCoy. She is survived by her son: Todd Roepke of Kearney, Nebraska Daughter: Tami Sculley, of Kearney, Nebraska Brothers: Victor & wife Maxine McCoy, of Kearney, Nebraska Neal McCoy of Arapahoe, Nebraska Sister: Mona & husband Dan Mousel of Edison, Nebraska Sister-In-Law: Charlavee McCoy of Arapahoe, Nebraska Grandchildren: 5 Great-Grandchildren: 2 Condolences & personal reflections may be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com. Viewing & visitation will be Wednesday, December 3, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 4, at 2 PM at the First United Methodist Church, Arapahoe, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Flury, officiating. Internment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
