Ardith Helen Morris

Arapahoe, Nebraska Ardith Helen Morris, age 79, of North Platte, Nebraska, formerly of Holbrook & McCook, Nebraska died on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Premier Estates, North Platte, Nebraska. She was born on November 15, 1929 at Elwood, Nebraska to Vernon & Ethel (Golden) White. She was raised in the Elwood & Bertrand, Nebraska area and graduated from Bertrand High School. After high school she worked as a cook at Hamburger Inn, in Holdrege, Nebraska. On October 17, 1951, she married Howard F. Morris at Stockville, Nebraska. They made their home north of Holbrook, Nebraska and farmed for many years. She was a cook at many area restaurants in the southwest Nebraska area. In 1972, they moved into Holbrook, Nebraska. Later on they would move to McCook, Nebraska. Her husband Howard passed away on December 23, 2005. In October of 2008, she moved to Premiere Estates in North Platte, Nebraska. She enjoyed cooking and making crafts, especially spinners out of aluminum cans. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, brother Norman White. She is survived by sons: Larry & wife Maureen Morris of Lavern, California Dennis Morris of Bellflower, California Merril & wife Rane Morris of Marion, Nebraska Leon & wife Belinda Morris of Maxwell, Nebraska Daughter: Marcia Lemman of Salina, Kansas Sister: Carol & husband Eldon Pouk of Holdrege, Nebraska Grandchildren: 17 Great-Grandchildren: 20 Condolences and personal reflections may be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing & visitation will be Friday, February 27, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, in Arapahoe, Nebraska and prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 28, at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor Tim Posey, of the Victory Church in North Platte, Nebraska, officiating. Interment will be at the Holbrook Cemetery, Holbrook, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
