Arapahoe, Nebraska AnnaBelle Lewis, age 92, of Arapahoe, Nebraska died on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born on July 4, 1918 near Beaver City, Nebraska on the family farm to Erwin B. & Gertrude E. (Manley) Kentfield. She grew up and graduated from Beaver City High School with the Class of 1936. After high school she taught for a few years. She married Carl Lewis and together had three children. They lived on the farm south of Arapahoe, Nebraska for many years and then moved into town. She worked at Life Bakery in Arapahoe, Nebraska. In August of 1960 they moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado and later to Denver, Colorado. While in Fort Morgan, she worked for the Congress Motel and was a manager for the Country Club Gardens Apartments in Denver. They were later divorced and she would move back to Arapahoe. She worked at the Arapahoe Public Housing Authority for several years. AnnaBelle was always a hard worker and especially loved her gardens and all the beautiful flowers. She was a good mother and always proud of her children, looking forward to having them come and visit while bringing the grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was a member of the United Brethren Church in Hollinger, Nebraska in her youth and later a member of the Arapahoe Christian Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Vesta Inman, Olive Grimsley, & Virginia Smith, & brother Merlin Kentfield. She is survived by her son Norman & wife Karen Lewis of Edison, Nebraska daughters: Sheridan & husband Walter Mueller of Twin Falls, Idaho Patty Britt of Glendale, Arizona Grandchildren 8 Great-Grandchildren: 13 Great-Great Grandchildren : 9 Brother: Lawrence & wife Ruth Kentfield of Beaver City, Nebraska Sisters: Helen & husband Dean Weaver of Stamford, Nebraska Marian Gwin of Longmont, Colorado Condolences or personal reflections can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing & visitation will be Friday, February 4, from 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home, Arapahoe, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2 PM at the Arapahoe Christian Church, in Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor David Welch, officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Beaver City, Nebraska. Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
