Andrew J. Denton, 53, of Wood River, Nebraska formerly of Beaver City, Nebraska died, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Univ. of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born April 2, 1956 at Bristol, Pennsylvania to Osberne & Clara (Paprzycki) Denton, Jr. Andrew grew up in Pennsylvania. The family moved to Arizona during his high school days. He joined the US Army 1976 and served in several places including Germany, he was discharged Sept 8, 1980. He married Theresa Zbiegien on November 1, 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona. They continued to live in Arizona where Andrew was involved in the refrigeration business. They moved to Beaver City, Nebraska in July of 1997 where he worked for Rief Propane at Wilsonville, then Sam's Hog farms, then followed to work at IBP at Lexington, Nebraska and then Norton Correctional Facility at Norton, Kansas. The family moved to Phoenix in 2006 and then moved to Wood River, Nebraska in August of 2008 where he was employed with Swift Packing Company at a production mechanic in Grand Island, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include: Wife; Theresa of Wood River, Nebraska Mother & Step-Father: : Clara & Louis Staski of Youngtown, AZ Son: John Denton of Holdrege, Nebraska 2 Daughters: Naomi and husband Jason Shepherd of Wood River, Nebraska Sarah and husband Calvin Pemberton of Beaver City, Nebraska 2 Brothers: Robert and wife Karen Denton of St Peters, Missouri Frank Denton of St. Peters, Missouri 2 Sisters: Teresa and husband Rubin Feldman of Oxford, Nebraska Trish and husband Stephen Reed of Fairbury, New York Grandchildren: 4 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com Viewing and visitation Sunday, May 10, 2009, 1 PM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services at the church on Monday. Funeral services will be Monday, May 11, 2009 at 11 AM at First United Methodist Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Revs. Robert E. Berlie, Sr., Jerry Cummings, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska with Military Honors at graveside by Veterans Organizations of Beaver City, Nebraska.
