Beaver City, Nebraska Alma Rose Cass, age 83 of Beaver City, Nebraska died Friday, December 15, 2006 at her home on the farm. She was born February 14, 1923 in Furnas County, Nebraska to Eugene & Maude (Traxler) Babcock. Rose was raised on a farm within 2 miles of where she died. She attended Beaver City Schools. She married Donald Cass on May 12, 1941 at Norton, Kansas. They lived in Oregon following marriage and moved back to the farm in 1946. They farmed South West of Beaver City since 1946 and remained on the farm until her death. She worked at the Beaver City Manor from 1978 until 1992. She was a member of First Christian Church in Beaver City where she had taught Sunday School for a number of years. Preceded in death by parents, Daughter Patricia JoAnn in 1943, Daughter-in-law Sue; 2 Sisters; Glenda and Myrtle and Brother Roy. Survivors include; husband; Don 2 Sons: Tony Cass and wife Patty of Columbus, Ohio Wendel Cass of Wallace, Nebraska Grandchildren: 2 Step-Grandchildren: 4 Great-Grandchildren: 14 Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com. Viewing and visitation will be Monday, 1 PM until 8 PM and Tuesday 9 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services Wednesday at the church. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 AM at First Christian Church at Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Phil Olsen, officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery rural Beaver City, Nebraska. Memorials to First Christian Church or Breast Caner can be left at funeral home or at the services. Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
